Despicable Me

One of the best movies of the year is Despicable Me. It’s about an evil villain who takes in some orphans in order to steal back what was rightfully his. The best characters of the movie are the little yellow alien minions. They are so funny and come up with all kinds of crazy stunts. The true villain is a complete nerd and ends up being more evil than the main character. I give this movie Four and a half stars.
Book Review City of Bones
This book blew my socks off! This book is about a girl who is a shadow hunter and does not know it yet. She is swallowed into a world she didn’t know existed. Now she has to save her world and the other world, can she do it? I can’t tell you what happens next so read it and find out. By Olivia G.

The Fighter

This movie was based on a true story of the boxer named Mickey Ward and his brother Dickey Eklunds. Growing up in a hick town in Massachusetts, these brothers are going through difficulties. Eklunds battles with drugs, while Mickey needs training to overcome the world championship in London. The brothers are fathers themselves and struggle to keep their lives going straight. This movie is very entertaining, and shows all the rough times they both had to go through. I give this movie four stars.

For all you Dubstep fans out there who are looking for something new and exciting, well I have something for you. Check out the artist Excision. His style of Dubstep is incredible. It is very wompy and has tons of bass. I recommend his Radio 1 mix, and his Excision Shambhala 2008 mix. He has a plethora of songs that will fit your requirements of good Dubstep. SKYLINE A movie I went and saw this weekend was Skyline. It was an alright movie but, it had a boring story line. The story line was aliens coming to earth and some sort of light they looked into,it pulled them in so they could get abducted. I thought it could have had more action and a better conflict but, it was all good until the end of the movie came up. It didn’t really make sense to me. Jesse

Well Kill Zone 2 has amazing graphics. You are in a town and it is being blown to shreds and It is almost the best game for PS3. I hope other people will play it and get good at it to because it is freaking awesome so play it. Kill Zone 2 is very hard but not to me because I love video games and I am good at them.

Weird News of a Profound Nature
So last Wednesday, Slim Shady bought a new house. That night, his security system went off. When security did a perimeter check that night, they found nothing. The next morning they found a deer that had tried to jump over his fence. The deer’s leg had gotten stuck when it had tried to jump over the fence and when they found it, it was dead. By: Ana F. Who’s leaving? Well ARTEC, we have sad news! Our dearest friend Alica S. is leaving. She has been here for 6 total long months and she has finally graduated this past Monday. She will be going to a proctor home and we wish her the best of luck. She has come very far, made mistakes but learned to overcome them by using coping skills and letting the littlest things go. She is very happy she is leaving and hopes her proctor parents are nice, we hope so too. Good luck Alica and hopefully you’ll be blessed with the things you want in life.

T.L. Crank This is a book about a teenager who had a good life at home, had a good relationship with her mom and step father. She has an older sister that she is close to, and a younger brother. One summer she went to see her dad in New Mexico.
She hasn’t seen her dad for a long time. So it’s going to be a little awkward for her. She’s hoping to get closer with her dad again. But as she gets to Albuquerque everything’s not what she expected it to be but she’s doesn’t let that get to her. She misses her dad. So she’s giving him a chance. But everything happens wrong in a matter of three weeks. She meets her first love. Starts to get into meth and finds out her dad does it and she does meth with him.
She goes back home to her family. And she gets off of meth and starts to do better, but everything is not the same to her at home. But she managed to stay away from meth for awhile. But then she starts to get back on it and this time's a lot worse than in New Mexico. But she still goes to school and everything and manages to get things done around the house without her parents starting to know. But it’s not for long when her stepdad starts to catch on. Shortly after her mom does too.
I would recommend this book to everyone who has been through something similar, and also people who haven’t been through anything like this. It will help everyone understand what people go through on drugs.
